Cost discrepancies

Post by Glory. »

Hmmm, i recently got this in the mail (because i requested some information from them) and this is what i noticed.

ICPC Program

Commercial Pilot Program 200 hrs Multi/IFR CPL
http://www.bramfly.ca/4_training/200_hr ... )_2006.pdf

The ICPC program costs more an hour for Night Ratings, PPL, Com, and even though the Multi prices are the exact same, ICPC is around 120 dollars more?

I guess one could look at this as cold, hard fact about the money-squeezing effect at Brampton, but everyone has good and bad outlooks  :?

Anyone whose been to Brampton, PM me if you would like to answer some questions :D

Go to college or university and fly on the side. Best combo.

Please, please, someone tell me that people are not actually signing up for these programs. $47,000 for 200 hours of flying time plus living expenses on top of that, what the f*** gives.

Is it that people are just niave and out of touch, or do people have way to much money?

Some of Brampton's documents have been updated for 2006 and some have not. That might be involved in the discrepancy? Brampton has a toll free phone number and could easily answer your questions.

Wow things sure have changed at the BFC since I took my private and Comm there back in the late 60's and early 70's.
At that time you could rent a 172 or a 150 for $14/hr and $12/hr
I went to collage full time and flew on the side plus I worked at the club for 2 years cleaning, fueling , running the lounge and taking bookings.
At that time it had just moved to it's present location at Victoria from where the womans prision is now. I remember the field being so muddy that we'd have to move the ops to YYZ out of the Sky Charter hanger or over to Guelph for a month every year. We said the planes were so dirty that you'd have to wipe your shoes off after you got out of the aircraft.
