AOC's say nothing of how many aircraft are owned or operated by a company. That's why you should do a register search if you are that nosy.
The AOC says that the Seneca and Conquest are both approved to operate under CAR 702 and CAR 703. Additionally, if the company were to no longer operate a type of aircraft it would not necessarly disapear off their AOC. TC and companies are reluctant to remove aircraft types from AOC's due to the expense involved in putting a type on the certificate.

Last time I looked Alta Flights was not QuiK Air. Quik Air has Jetstreams which do not appear on the O.C. of Alta Flights. The citation is sitting on the Quik Air ramp in YYC and is rummored to be on the O.C. of Quik Air when the time comes. So it seems the company to watch here is not Alta Flights, but Quik Air.

Alta Flights is a fairly good company by todays standard and has a good strong amangement team in place. The important thing is that they are heading in the right direction after a long struggle to get back up and they're doing a good job! Way to go.
Nothing to be affraid of with them.

Is that right? This so called "strong management team" that you purport wouldn't happen to be the same ones that nearly shut the company down was it? Were they the same ones in place when you lost/voluntarily withdrew your OC? Is this the same company that Contrail won't touch with a 10 foot poll which essentially eliminates 90% of the work in YYC/YEG?slowstream wrote:Alta Flights is a fairly good company by todays standard and has a good strong amangement team in place. Or are you one of them and this is part of your job responsibilities - selling people that the "new and improved" AF is better?
Alta Jet @ Quikair
Quikair does not at this time hold an AOC so all aircraft operated by them are flown by a contracter with Quikair as the customer. The jet is owned by Al and may or may not be used for charter , right now it still has an N registration and it will be a while for the import.

kariboo Kid,
I won't take this any further into the gutter than you have; you are obviously a complete and total frickin moron who can't read. No I'm not management there but they do have my respect. The management team is replaced the old one (several years ago) and they've done a decent job. They're not perfect but at least they can read and as I said earlier, they are at least heading in the right direction.

Slowstream's right, the whole face of Alta has changed. New CP, new ACP and a clean 'seperation' from the major players that almost destroyed the company a few years ago.
Hyster: Your comments are almost three years out of date my man. Figures though as U are probably in nowheresville, SK.
Kariboo kid: You seem to be quite Anti-Alta as well. Strange. You are also three years out-of-date. I think Alta lost its OC in the spring or 2002...3 years ago!
By the way Kariboo, while you are writing your response why not let us all in on Cariboo's 'great' new pay-scale. A nice slap in the face for all the hard-working, committed, pilots there!

Greenwich,
Relax there Chachi, I don't have a beef with AF, I have a beef with the management that screwed some of my friends that were there in the past.
Another question: tell me who owns these fancy new jets, tell me if this is the same person that ran the company back when things went in the tank and bent many of my friends over and that will prove my point.
