BBQ season has arrived and it's time to drink and flip steaks!

Just thought you all should know...

(We paid for it with record # of days without sun!)

But we really do pay for it come winter time - a record number of rainy days in Jan '06. My BBQ is now the latest submarine aquired by the Canadian Navy - it's going to be used to serve underwater steaks to Sea King pilots!!!

Best way to cook potatoes on BBQ...

Cut potatoe into 1/8-1/4 inch slices.
Put in mixing bowl.

Mix olive oil, herbs/seasoning in another bowl, then add to potatoes.

Mix up everything so that it coats the taters evenly.

Place potatoes on upper rack of BBQ (not the actual grill, but the part you use to toast buns/keep stuff warm.

Cook till brown (and soft on the inside) at low heat.

Eat.

Every day is BBQ day ... what does the weather have to do with it?

I keep mine just inside my garage door (literally about an inch inside, so the door just clears). Pop the door open for fresh air and fire it up! I've used the BBQ when its snowing, when its -20, when its pissing rain, when the power is out - whatever. Its the best way to cook.

I'll have to disagree there.

The BEST way to cook is on an open fire with wood you dragged out of the forest. And you gotta be with your buds.

Barbecues are a close second.

There is no such thing as BBQ season. If you wanna 'cue, then 'cue. I've cooked on the barbie at -30 in a bloody snowstorm, standing on the balcony of my slummy housing in Ottawa (Ah, the good old days). I had my Bradley Smoker running four four days in a two week period over the holidays.

When you barbecue is determined by your intestinal fortitude, not by the weather.
