That Sask Air Ambulance B200 VS deer

Post by looproll »

I no longer have the pics of that King Air 200 Air Ambulance that hit a deer in La Ronge years ago. I'm looking for a set. Can someone please post 'em up or pass them to me via email? Thanks!

It was a BCAS (westex) that hit the deer in these photos. This is the third service that has been credited with this strike. It has a BC Ministry of Health logo on the plane. I'll add the rest of the photos to the gallery later.

It happened in Powell River at night.
The crew did not have a chance.
Minimal damage to the airplane, Prop was a write-off and engine power section had to be overhauled.
The deer was a write-off.

Anyone else see the irony in the MOH's medevac being splattered like that?

Looks pretty messy, feel sorry for whoever had to clean it all up!
