Entry level jobs in Beijing
I have a newly minted commercial license, and was about to go for my Instructor's and do the flight training thing (my second career, and I'm doing this on top of being a house husband - so there is no need to worry about supporting myself here, just want to get flying). HOWEVER, my wife is getting transferred to Beijing, so this puts flight instructing in Canada on hold for 2 years.
My question: is there any hope of finding an entry-level aviatin job in Beijing? (I've checked out the posts on PanAm Flight Academy, but seems like that is not a good fit for a guy who needs to be around Beijing). I have lots of management experience, if any Canadian-based airlines have offices over there.
Thanks!

Just to clarify, did you mean flying or a management job?
Unless you are a Chinese national, have Chinese citizenship by birthright or marriage. My understanding is, (and they may change this in the future, but nothing is happening right now), that you will not get a flying job. The Chinese government is notoriously slow to act... which is why Chinese airlines are not looking to hire "foreigners" right now.
The biggest factor is money, Chinese companies don't want to shell out the big dollars for an expat, when they can get a local to work for nothing. But this could all change at the drop of a hat, or never, depends on whether you're an optimist or pessimist.
On the other hand, you never know...
Good Luck!
