I gotta say that in Toronto, women have a shit load of attitude. Is is difficult to even establish a conversation before they throw you off. I know the best looking guys getting pushed to the side. Does this occur everywhere else in the country?

A lot of women are used to being viewed as objects, and in general I've found that it's a lot easier if to talk to them if you can figure out how to demonstrate to them that you're seeing them as a person.

Id have to agree with tango01, Toronto is much more difficult than anywhere in the world to pick up women. Just go to Montreal or Ottawa for the weekend and you'll see the difference right away. Id have to say that Brasil is the easiest place to pick up women in the world. You dont even have to do anything if the girl likes you she'll come up to you.
If you think a professional costs a lot, wait until you see what an amateur will cost you 
Are you talking about meeting women? I would think that many women and people in general, don't like to be picked up and it's worse in the bars because the guy is drunk or something. You should be able to understand the qualms some women have about meeting a strange guy. A good looking guy is just a pretty boy, unless he has something else going, and they will only know that if they know you, usually. IMO guys are terrible at meeting women. Especially those guys that go to the Safeway store to meet a woman but how the heck can you meet someone at the grocery store? I don't get that behavior.

I see some guy's that look so hungry to talk to a woman...it's sad really...and the kicker is...women can smell a man's desperation even before he opens his mouth.
You gotta walk into a place like you don't need anyone in there or wanna talk to anyone. DONT stare them down...you've given away everything y doing that. The women in the States are a little more "human".....but then all the magazines that men read....Maxum, Men's Health etc. are all geared towards men sucking up to women. Most of the time it just isn't worth it! Who really cares what "she" wants?? Let them buy their own stinking drinks! I've met women who say.."I never buy a drink. I dont have to." Back to the original point. I think there are some pretty good girls in Edmonton. For me anyway. But having said that I have friends who think this city sucks because of the lack of approachable girls. I think the biggest problem is that men are scared to talk to girls unless they are drinking. That’s another point, if you are looking for more then a one night stand I think looking in the bars is generally a mistake. I think that the grocery store, library and on the bike path are by far the best places to meet someone. Oh, the work place and friends introducing are also good ones.
what might scare them away is that act of drooling as soon as you spot them then bailing on the floor after you slipped on your spit.

Oh sure, once in a blue moon, you'll trip over one, but it's rare. Guys...go to the bar and watch the game, shoot the shit, and watch the loosers trying to pick up chicks. Let them giggle with their friends and ignore them! Let them pay for their own drinks. Let them dance together! For the most part, if they're drinking in a bar with their loud mouthed g/f's they aint worth the effort. You're just going to have to chew your arm off in the morning amyway!
