So what does that say? Judging by the official looking guys in the blue jackets talking to them the other morning, it seems that TC is taking an acute intererst in them too.....Yes they have expanded out to Vancouver with two Navajos and 1 C310. Apparently the operation wasnt too bad to work for until they went to Vancouver and all the pilots quit on the same day
Apparently they were always bad to work for. I never worked for them, but know a few that did. From what I've heard a very shady operation with an even shadier owner. Also heard that many people got taken for the PPC and surprise surprise - no flying. If you do get to fly then expect to be pushed to break the regs on a regular basis. Why people subject themselves to this level of abuse is beyond my comprehension. I know how bad the hunger can be, but you have to draw the line somewhere and these guys seem to be miles past the line. You might as well flush your career down the toilet I suppose.bizjet_mania wrote:Yes they have expanded out to Vancouver with two Navajos and 1 C310. What company are they hauling for here? It's gotta be DHL. What actually happened at YYJ? Did they land gear up or break a wheel off??

Edit, whoever said that rocks and shady don't mix is absolutely right. Especially not low time guys from Ontario trying to fly the interior here. March thru to mid May is the worst for ice.
Recipe for disaster.

Yes, I know this operation as well, and I agree 100%.1LostPilot wrote:The west coast needs to wake up to these cowboys...
Rocks and sketchy operations do not go hand in hand...if S.B. was ever half good, these guys are bad....please TC ramp these idiots out of BC............
They are an accident looking for a place to happen in Ontario - I can't imagine how they're planning on operating out there.
Does Transport really do anything about these types of problems. I'm wondering how many guys must have stepped up and had something to say about this and still nothing. I'm becoming more and more convinced that TC doesn't really do anything except dictate CARs and try to weasle out of the 'interpretation'. Ever tried to get a TC guy to put his/her interpretation on paper?!!

These guys actually called me for a job around x-mas. I flew out to toronto-buttonville a week later, on my own dime for the record, only to show up and the guy that i had been talking to wasnt there, and nobody in the place knew who the hell i was.
So after the $750 ticket, i was informed that they had just hired three guys. And I thought I heard something about HRDC paying for those PPC's. I cant confirm the salary as we never talked about it, but 18,000, shove that up your ass. All in all not impressed, although knowing now what i didnt know then, im glad i never hopped on board

YYJ Crash. I used to work for him.
Hey all,
I used to work for this guy out of Buttonville (CYKZ) I have to say, without a word of a lie it was _the_ darkest time period of my life. The owner, in my opinion is a ruthless man who will stop at nothing to keep his ill-fated business alive.
Sadly enough when I started with him I was naive. I paid for my PPC and still regret it to this day.
On the day that I quit I went to Transport Canada to report all the wrong-doing's that he has been doing. I interviewed with Transport on many occasions in a "tell-all" format, so that he doesn't kill any of my fellow colleagues. Unfortunatly, we have nothing to be proud of when it comes to our regulatory body (Transport Canada). All they have done since the 2 years have passed is drag their collective asses on the ground. Trust me, they have AMPLE evidence to shut this guy down, but they continue to let him squeak by. At least 6 of the other pilots that quit from there have also gone to the TC, some of them are even involved in long-drawn out lawsuits.
I have since removed all entries of the flying I did there from my logbook, and set myself back about a year of my flying career. I want nothing to do with this man or his company. I have since been very fortunate to gain work as a pilot elsewhere on a heavy turbine as a First Officer. I am one of the lucky ones.
What is it going to take to stop this man, and all the others like him? A fatality? Maybe 2 or 3 fatalities? Who knows. All I know is that I did all I could. I told TC all I knew. I lost out on six thousand dollars because I was stupid, desperate, young and naive. I set myself back, I regret going to him at all. In my mind, he is the root of all evil when it comes to the aviation industry in Canada. The sad thing is that he is one of many.
There is a bright side to this. I now work for a very fair, stable and compassionate company that pays me well (upwards of 46k to start), so for those of you still in the game, don't give up. There are fair, decent companies out there who want you to succeed just as much as they want to prosper. It's unfortuante that we live in a society where this happens. Don't let it kill you.

Re: YYJ Crash. I used to work for him.
Someone should get the media involved in cases like this. Give them the goods and let them run with it. Transport would be forced to make some comment one way or another, and then there`d be something to grind them on. God knows how much the media loves aviation horror stories, or better yet, horror stories waiting to happen. It could be done anonymously.station60 wrote:On the day that I quit I went to Transport Canada to report all the wrong-doing's that he has been doing. ...not too familiar with Nexjets past, however I do know that they are flying 500-600hrs guys as pic into the interior. I really hope that they are fully aware of what they are getting themselves into. But how could they with so little time on the A/C and knowledge of the terrain.
