noncommitter (never mind the legion of women who shack up with guys-and often make babies out of wedlock; and never mind the women who are sexually liberated and rely on abortions to remain free)
absentee dad (never mind the never married or divorced women who, for the sake of the new guy in their life, think it is ok to relocate, thereby depriving the father under the flag of female rights)
I am not minimizing or forgiving the evil than men do. However, our cumulative awareness and understanding of both genders' ability to perpetrate evil or stupidity has been ignored, hidden, and lied about in this growing antimale climate.
We have slowly but surely emasculated men in our society. The result has been boys growing up to be men that do not know how to be men nor know how to to treat women. The disrespect men recieve in our society leaves then not only broken and confused, but precludes attention to male orientated issues of importance. For instance, more men die from prostate cancer than women from breast cancer - yet, the headlines scream with rage against the inattention to women's health issues, when in fact less monies goes to research prostate cancer. Who cares?
Emotionally disturbed boys outnumber girls 4 to 1. Learning disabilities, the ratio is more than 2 to 1. The murder rate for teens-victims are almost all male, and is up 194% from twenty years ago. And research suggests that today's boys are deeply distressed and tragically misunderstood may be victims of their own biology and society's confusion about masculinity.
The bottom line is that male and maculinity have become synonymous with all that is wrong and evil with society, and femininity is touted as the answer. The thousands of years of medicine, law, philosophy, science, government and religion that were part of the male intellect and spiritual humanity has been separated and ignored. Instead, the focus has been placed only on sexist domination and oppression.
I totally agree Haz. In extreme circumstances, especially in cases if your life is threatened or the lives of others are threatened, violence is appropriate. Like if you walked up to some girl's father and said "I'm here to pick up your daughter for our date." I certainly wouldn't protest that sort of violence.Extreme, I grant you that, but CID seems to live in a world of extremes.
Let's see. Disapproving of someone who beats his wife or girlfriend or beating someone who insults you or your wife/girlfriend while approving of using violence to defend your life is contradictory?Is it just me or does CIDs last post contradict most of his other neandering on this thread?
