you bumped your post after less than 8 hours? WTF, niss!

Bump it after two weeks...not in the same business day!

The Honeymooners - it was a different time.

In 2000, you could have posted a funny cartoon about a goup of terrorist wannabes thinking that they could take control of an aircraft and fly it into a building. Today? Go ahead, give 'er a try.

All I can say is that times change.

What world do you live in niss, where it's OK to hit someone for saying something. It's never right to hit someone for mere words. Show a little self restraint.

To tell you the truth, as much as your girlfriend's attitude is a warning sign, your violent tendencies are too.
I can think of a few examples of words requiring use of force,

"This is a hold-up"

"I am taking control of this aircraft in the name of Al-Qadia"

"I am going to kill your family"

Extreme, I grant you that, but CID seems to live in a world of extremes.

I can also think of times while flying when a nice fresh baked pie would be nice in the cockpit. I assume this is why women in aviation was started? Some sort of PIE in the SKY idea? :D

How ironic. These "women's studies" radical feminists and lunatic dykes are the same people who since the 60's have decried "houswife" and "stay at home mom" as valueless endeavours for women. Now they seem to think these callings are so valuable they should be paid a salary.
What a group of logical thinkers. Tax the shit out of wage earners, filter it through a government program that will eat up 50% of the money, and then use the balance to pay "homemakers" a salary. Flippin' rocket science.

I say shut down the faculty of women's studies in every university and college across the country and do something meaningful with the money rather than pissing it up a rope on bunch of useless whinning.

What course is she in? I went to georgian and took a class called Gender Relations (A gen ed for my diploma), single at the time thinking there would be some nice single women in there...nothing but FEMINISTS!! I was 1 out of 4 guys in the damn class and always scared if the teacher asked me for my input during a debate (usually about equal rights) because I knew all the knocked up grumpy 18 year old women would turn back and snarl waiting for my response. I actually did good in the class...great teacher aswell....just thought Id share.

The more you convince someone that they've been opressed, the more that they will find ways to see opression in their life.

If you had offered to help, you would have been implying that they couldn't do it on their own. By not offering to help you were being a "
typical, lazy man".

Niss,

I am in Barrie area off and on...looking on moving away from the family for the season though hehe. I did the Av Management program there...well need to go back for a credit to get the peice of paper). I didnt like it personally...I love to fly...but the program wasnt geared towards it...I would have rather done a program non related to aviation to learn something different/new. Nonetheless the college I thought was amazing...great memories. I know alot fo people in the Laurentian program...I hear its pretty popular. But yeah I had to mention that hehe I hated that Gen-ed because of the women...100% male hating Young and mostly pregnant women. I hated group dicussions because right or wrong, my head was always taken off haha. Are you in Barrie? Cheers.

So let me get this straigh, since I have the dreaded XY combo, i am more likely to be a rapist/abuser/molester. Well the XX combo is more likely to kill your own child. the actions of a person, tend to be governed by external stimulus. Most Men do not play the guilt/emotion game as well as woman, and so react with the fight/flight action, my ex-wife used the ever popular leave now, and don't come back. I loved her "at the time" and wasn't prepared to lose the relationship, in the end she shtupped some guy while on a trip. Wish I hadn't blown three years on her, just glad that we didn't have kids.
just another pilot wrote:There was a time when the word "man" evoked images of husband and father, breadwinner, warrior, protector, and adventurer. Now? Well, feminist hysteria and politically correct journalism portray quite a different interpretation of man:
child abuser (never mind that statistics for 1986-1993 reported by the National Center on Child Abuse Prevention Research, National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse demonstrate that 59% of persons causing children's death are female. Half of all are natural mothers, whereas natural fathers account for 23% and boyfriends 10%)
child molester (never mind the evidence that divorcing mothers often use molestation as a technique to punish the father and gain power in custody. Recovered memories and childhood abuse have been exposed as a largely shameful product of popular feminist phychology)
rapist (never mind statistics grew when rape was redefined from a violent act of penetration to a feeling of being forced, and never mind the new date rape pseudocrisis where passive, curious, resentful, drunk, or guilt-ridden women can claim rape)
sexual harasser (never mind the double standard of how much skin and pulchritude a women can blatantly display - while a man must not look or comment; and never mind how many men retreat when ask to do so)
violent (never mind tht males are the primary victims of all violent crimes except rape; wives admitted in surveys that they were more likely to assault their husbands than the other way around)
philanderer (never mind the current female vogue of intentionally producing children with no fathers under the flag of female reproductive rights)
noncommitter (never mind the legion of women who shack up with guys-and often make babies out of wedlock; and never mind the women who are sexually liberated and rely on abortions to remain free)
absentee dad (never mind the never married or divorced women who, for the sake of the new guy in their life, think it is ok to relocate, thereby depriving the father under the flag of female rights)

I am not minimizing or forgiving the evil than men do. However, our cumulative awareness and understanding of both genders' ability to perpetrate evil or stupidity has been ignored, hidden, and lied about in this growing antimale climate.
We have slowly but surely emasculated men in our society. The result has been boys growing up to be men that do not know how to be men nor know how to to treat women. The disrespect men recieve in our society leaves then not only broken and confused, but precludes attention to male orientated issues of importance. For instance, more men die from prostate cancer than women from breast cancer - yet, the headlines scream with rage against the inattention to women's health issues, when in fact less monies goes to research prostate cancer. Who cares?
Emotionally disturbed boys outnumber girls 4 to 1. Learning disabilities, the ratio is more than 2 to 1. The murder rate for teens-victims are almost all male, and is up 194% from twenty years ago. And research suggests that today's boys are deeply distressed and tragically misunderstood may be victims of their own biology and society's confusion about masculinity.
The bottom line is that male and maculinity have become synonymous with all that is wrong and evil with society, and femininity is touted as the answer. The thousands of years of medicine, law, philosophy, science, government and religion that were part of the male intellect and spiritual humanity has been separated and ignored. Instead, the focus has been placed only on sexist domination and oppression.

Extreme, I grant you that, but CID seems to live in a world of extremes.
I totally agree Haz. In extreme circumstances, especially in cases if your life is threatened or the lives of others are threatened, violence is appropriate. Like if you walked up to some girl's father and said "I'm here to pick up your daughter for our date." I certainly wouldn't protest that sort of violence.

Let's see. Disapproving of someone who beats his wife or girlfriend or beating someone who insults you or your wife/girlfriend while approving of using violence to defend your life is contradictory?

I think someone is relating two very different things.

By the way, in case you didn't catch it, the comment I made about Haz picking up someone's daughter was sarcasm. For the benifit of those not familiar with the term, here is the definition:
SARCASM

sar·casm P Pronunciation Key (särkzm)
n.
A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.
Sarcasm. Try it soon. It's fun!

CID,

Where are you located again?

I cant hear you from here, so it makes it kind of hard to detect the tone of your voice.

If I were to say on this thread something straight forward but derogitory would you tell if I was being sarcastic?

Black people can not hold down jobs.

BTW I do not actually think this but its to prove a point.

Can you hear how I was saying that CID?

Where are you CID? Is it Dark? Is there an echo? It must be, I would imagine thats what it must be like to have your head up your ass all the time.

Come on now guys...play nice.

There's no point in starting mudslinging over a joke that CID made.

While I (and a lot of other folks here) often disagree with posts he makes, he does tend to express fully developed opinions, and does so in an intelligent (albiet sometimes abrasive) manner. Compared to a lot of other folks out there on the intardnet, he's easy to take.

Part of the reason that this Miscellaneous forum is interesting is the combination of actual debate and humour. Let's not take ourselves too seriously! (says the guy with Borat as his avatar)

If you disagree with me, then you can stand at the sidelines and yell FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
