The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

Good advice from someone older and wiser. I really like Wisers by the way. Their 18 year old is really sweet. I guess I'm not a purist cause I mix it with coke, but wow does it go down nice...

Pony up the 400 bucks and take the aerocourse. If you have a working knowledge of things, the aerocourse will point you in the right direction and prepapre you for the exam.

Get the workbooks, that what I used.
Isnt the pass a 70% You dont want to show off. If you get any higher than a 70%, you worked too hard.

Save yourself the 400 bucks for the aerocourse, and put your shoulder to the grindstone and study hard instead. It's not a hard exam if your prepared.

Good Luck.

IFR GPS use is being asked more frequently on the exams.

I mainly read the Weather Command, the RAC and MET in the AIM and did some practice exams but knew I still needed more so I took a seminar. I highly recommend PRO-IFR's 3-day seminar, John and Todd are awesome teachers and cover everything required.

As for the exam, I had 5 or 6 GPS related questions like RAIM checks, overlay and standalone approaches (regarding traditional navaids and serviceability) etc.

Do the full AeroCourse.

Don't be cheap... do it right.

You will learn a great deal and pass the exam.

It is also an excellent way to do some networking with people who are really pilots.

WWG?
