Retirement Gift

Post by ready2move »

I was woundering if anyone had any good ideas about a gift for someone retireing from ATC. After 30 some years (a little tower but mostly IFR) my dad is pulling the plug and I can't think of what to get him. I'm trying to find something to give him that is ATC related rather than just a golf club or membership. So if anyone has heard of a great gift or can think of one please PM me or just post.

Thnx

Make him a scrap book with light or funny stories from his coworkers, maybe some photos, licences, any memory triggering memorabilia.

Present it at a party with friends, family and coworkers.

Then send him on a world cruise :D

I hope my kids are reading this........!

That's probably the best gift that you could get, great idea.
Even though he's in the industry, has he ever flown an airplane, maybe send him up on a fam flight to just sit back and enjoy the view as well with the above. I think that would be great

Personally if I was on a radio for 30 years of my life I wouldn't want a radio.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but do to lack of creativity and a little lazzyness I've deceided to go with a Bigass stainless steel BBQ. That way when I stop by he can cook me a steak.
