The north is an excellent place to get experience and your time there will never be forgotten - no matter what position you hold.
I don't know anything about Quebec although there are a few on here that do. Many people I know moved north for that first flying job, many are still there. Of couse, it depends WHERE you are I suppose!
I say do it if you have the opportunity!

Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that knows it not, knows no release from the little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear the sound of wings.

I am assuming that you are an AME or an apprentice by your use of the word "technician".
It can be a most beautiful place to work BUT the bugs can be the worst in Canada based on many a conversation with geologist and biologist types who have worked all over the country and my own time in that part of the country. The winters can be bitter but hopefully you are able to spend most of your time in a hanger. That being said there are only a couple that I know of north of 55 in Northern Quebec so dress accordingly and brush up on your Herman Nelson maintenance.
All in all, I loved my time in Northern Quebec. Fishing and hunting are awsome depending on where you are.
PM me if you want more specifics.

If ever you flew over the CYTS airspace, you can land and depart the Mattagami River, which flows north to Hudson Bay. The river surrounds the airport. You can also fly up north to Kidd Creek Mine, and over to the Dome Mine pitt, and fly VFR to surrounding 'Tri-Towns' around here. I hve pictures of a flight with a friend from over 15 years ago of this area. And trust me, on nights and weekends, there are a lot of local VFR planes flying all over here.

FSS wannabe, just curious about stuff, that's all
