I dont know much about this one, but theres a notam out east of LA for an accident investigation. Apparently the Caravan is the "Show" plane for Cessna. Search was called of fyesterday due to severe weather.

Some inmates at the California Department of Forestry conservation camp at Oak Glen saw the plane go down at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, reports said. They reported seeing a low-flying red-and-white Cessna that appeared to have engine trouble
Interesting. Not dark, if they were flying along the road, through the Banning Pass, you would think they would be able to land anywhere in the valley.
