BASED ON 25% OPTIONS
Yr 1 see other post
Yr2 see other post
Yr3 78,828 + 7312 options = 86,139
Yr4 82380 + 7312 options = 89,691
Yr5 85295 + 7312 options = 92,606
There are other combinations of your option choices this is the one that gives you the most cash without the risk of all the options. There are some other extras you can get ie training outside your block and productivtity pay.
Question on the new pay rates at West Jet

Well wrote out Snow Monkey! Can you do the same thing for the Captain pay?
What is the growth in the current business plan, how long for a left seat based on max growth in the business plan? 12 pilots per aircraft? What ideas/rumors are coming down the tube over at WJ?

when I did my phone interview last week they told me 40000 to start with the option of ESP and profit share down the road, nothing they said added up to 64000
Can you elaborate a little on this please.
I've already decide to take the job if I get an offer, but 64 would be a little more comfortable.
Cheers

snow monkey forgot that year one and 2 will be different as of may 1st and will start as Kenny said. The year 3 and up is correct though. The reason is to be relatively in line with a year one and two when compared to other airlines. I'm too lazy to dig up the 2nd year numbers but I believe it's that same stock option plus 50g.

I was hesitant to post since I didn't know the exact number... but I think its the hourly rate of 80 hours per month times 12 months to equal 40K per year plus a 6.75% raise, then the old year 2 pay at 50K turned in to an hourly rate plus 6.75%, then year three and up is accurate. If I get specifics I'll post them up.

The cutoff has PASSED guys. Did you read the contract? Or just what pertained to you?
For the "NEW" new hires, it works out to be a CUT in pay compared to the previous 10 years. A good question to ask the 18 or so who voted 'no' is why???
WJ could've raised the bar in Canadian aviation to where it used to be but.....
"Naw, lets just stay a no frills LCC."
Too bad really. It would've brought the moral WAY up.

I'll bet you won't post your airline or their first year pay if we ask... but why not. Lets see all of your hard work and compare the two. Also, can you tell us what kind of scheduling rules that new hire will have? Will him or her hold a nice block, with some sweet pairings, less than 15 days of work and will they be all but guaranteed Christmas and New Years off?sprucemonkey wrote:The cutoff has PASSED guys. Wrong info? I'm in the ground school now.

Wow... we got a smart one. What kind of idiot would admit that on an internet chat board? Didn't they tell you the pay before you started? I guess its a lot lower compared to everyone else in Canada, and even the US. Don't have too many beers at the party after your exams are done, you may say too much again.
