From a previous thread reagrding SSV

http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopi ... highlight=

In reagrds to Cancun, there always seems to be a shear coming in on rwy. 12 in the last 100 feet. I know have personally seen +/- 10 to 15 knots on that approach. If you are ever get a chance you should sit in CUN and see some of the landing aircraft on 12. Makes for a good laugh or two :D .

In regards to PUJ (Punta Cana), there runway is around 10000 feet long but it is very bumpy.

Cal: Seeing that you just wrote your IATRA you must know what you are doing. (http://www.avcanada.ca//forums2/viewtop ... ht=#168983)

Maybe you could walk me through my next landing in CUN?

How much was their lawsuit for the delay last year? And the other lawsuit for the "hard landing?"

I understand they have time on type, the f/o's were hired fresh with 250 hours and the only plane they've flown is the big tin, to bad they don't have any "experience," except for on type, and only from the right seat....
That lawsuit is a pile of horseshit. People complained that they 'injured' their backs, yet were able to walk off the aircraft, and enjoy their holidays. It's a bunch of horse shit in my opinion, but's its a shame that it has to happen to a smaller company like Skyservice.

That landing was not with a wetlease pilot, it was with a pilot who was completing his ride, however it was his FIRST time into Punta Cana AT night, which is more difficult (according to pilots I have spoken to that have flown to Punta Cana). The check pilot should have flown the leg down, but ended up letting the F/O complete the 'incomplete' landing. lol. I'm sure approriate actions were taken to fix this error.

I just think it's lame that people are centering out SSV for lawsuits, when there are numerous other ones with larger carriers throughout North America.

I personally don't think there is anymore need to get into detail on to this sidetracked topic.

However, once again, you are wrong. They DO NOT hire pilots 'fresh' with 250 hours. Mytravel contracts them over with Skyservice and almost all the pilots have around 5-6000 hours. Do you know what MyTravel's minimum is? Evidently not, because if you did, you would know it's not 2000. I currently beleive right now, it is in the 4-5000 hour mark.

minimums... 4-5000 hour
Obviously that's working for them - they're selecting the right pilots, is that what you were saying?

Slow learner, huh?

I personally really like your method of arguing - if you can't logically find a flaw in what someone says, if they disagree with you, slander their character, which you know nothing about.

Back to the topic at hand:

I will say this that the In flight staff was professional and very Friendly, the Meal wasnt bad, the entertainment was decent. And a Flight Attendant named Bobbi Jo was HAWT :D

Besides the delay on the return to YVR wich we got a another free night in Cancun (rough eh) which we were told was due to a maintenance delay and this put the crew over there Duty day, Made sense to me. But most people dont understand the regs. And to Skyservices credit they offered up a $75 dollar travel voucher and when you consider the entire package cost $850 bucks im not complaining. (other than the Approach and Landing)

Honestly I dont know what people expect on charter flights were your paying bottom Dollar. I find that people look for any reason to bitch and complain, Overweight people complain that the seat is to small  forget the buffet there tubby go for a swim. I Overheard people bitching about the dumbest things and felt bad for the FA's but like I said they were pro's did there best to help people make connections.

It's really not worth e-arguing with a character like yourself. You initated it with your smart ass comments, and didn't actually contribute anything useful to this thread.

I'm sure you're a smart guy, but don't insult my intelligence. Just stay on the thread topic.
