Lately I seem to be hearing some dissention that the mighty province of Saskatchewan is not really "west".
Some go even as far to say that you have to be on the BC side of the rockies to be a "westerner"
I for one was born in N. BC but have lived in N. Sk most of my life, and N. Man.
Having been to Ontario and points east of that, I must say that we are a different group.
I personally think anything west of Ontario is "WEST"
Thoughts?

If you're west of Winnipeg, and south of the 60th, you're in Western Canada.
Besides, according to that individual who insists that the Continental Divide is the dividing line between East and West, a good chunk of BC would be in "the East".
Maybe I should make a post in that "Things that really piss you off thread" about BC snobs.

And if they gave the world an enema, the insertion would take place in TO.

Sask is as much the west as Alberta is. B.C. is not the west in the sense that Alberta is, Alberta is a province full of redneck Bush lovers and neurotic freaks. They think they are "all that" and more with their earl money. B.C. is populated by originals, small pockets of individualism are found here and there from that bunch. Places like Lilloet and Willies puddle have a few hangers on left. the rest are wired up TO transplants, lookin for the lotus lifesyle and stressed to crap in VR.
Something tells me that you were treated unkindly last time you were in Alberta. One too many atomic wedgies during you field trip to the Glenbow Museum?
Or did one of the horses in the Stampede Parade try to mount you?

The sad thing is manitoba is still out pacing us in population. But regardless Saskatchewan is home and I like it. And the riders suck but I still like them too.jackrabbit wrote:I would have to say that Manitoba is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more backwards than Sask.
