Flight Bags

Post by Maxxed out »

Anyone know where to get a good flight bag (YYZ)? Heard something about someone with connections to get a good cheap flight bag from South America or Vancouver?

Anyone know anything about that?

U should try Aviation world in YYZ, ask for Pedro there..they might be able to help u out. Otherwise, check on ebay site or browse among military suplliers....!

Goto to Threshold Aviation in YYZ (just off of Derry Road). They carry flight bags and unlike Aviation World, actually give airline employees a discount on purchases. Ask for Bill or Mikey.

Well my scott bag just arrived. It seems to be as good as they say, and yes it will fit in the RJ (bag is 8' by 18', RJ cubby is 8 1/2' wide by 18')
http://www.scottleather.com/
there's the link, I ordered mine less than a week ago, total price came to $450 but I got my name engraving, end and inner pocket. Sure it's pricey, but I figure I'll have it for my career. Also the workmanship is guaranteed for life, and they can repair anything else that isnt covered (wearing of bottom).

if you looking for a good bag, check em out.

Well if your looking for a career bag, then you won't go wrong with a Scott Bag. Anyway, if anyone does order one, in the notes mention my name (KAG) and you will recieve a 5% discount. Not much but it will pay for the taxes anyway.

Hey KAG, thanks for the info on the scott bag. I am also considering the bag. If it was made 1" higher (14" high), would it be difficult to get it in/out of the 'slot' on the RJ.
Thanks

Well, i just ordered a Scott bag as well and am looking forward to using it. Mine was 295 + 7 for engraving. It came out to 340 with taxes and shipping costs. Plus there is also the KAG 5% discount so take another 17 dollars off. So 323 conver it to Canadian Dollars = 370 Canadian.

My flight bag showed up yesterday. It is really nice. A hell of a lot nicer than the $400 bags at aviation world. And it actually came out to $385 Canadian. Still a lot cheaper than the $400 + taxes bags at AW. If anyone is interested in getting one, id highly recommend it.

$400 are you crazy, that's a hell of a lot of beer for a lousy flight bag. It's a flight bag, it holds your crap.. you can get a good bag from staples for under a hundred, spend the rest on more important things ..BEER.
