Maternity Leave
I know most of the people who post here may not have used this personally, but many people now split the time between the husband & wife. My question is: when you come back to work, does your vacation time accure for the time you have been off? Aviation is generally federally regulated so I'm hoping someone can offer me some feedback on what other employers do. My employer does have not give vacation for that time you have been off, but many do as good faith to their employers but many in aviation only give what is legally required, but many not even that. Any help would be great!

Techopsgirl you should quit your whining. If you are off work you are off work. EI has programs for maternity leave. If you expect your employer to just pretend that you were still there, that is bullshit. Whining pilots all over you should not expect that your employer will do anything on good faith, because they don't have to. All of you quit your whining. Grow up and treat this industry like it's a job. If you want to get coddled join a union and get a city job.
if there were not so many idiots in the world, it wouldn't be nessesary to have instructions on shampoo bottles
Why should anyone in this industry not have to pull thier own wieght, and if you expect anyting to be handed to you like vacation time when you were away on EI, you are expecting too much. People like that should go back and live with thier parents.

"Poster child" - HeHe, anyway - you deserve all the mat leave u can get, I'd lend u my status card but unfortunately they are non-transferable..Techopsgirl wrote:I agree fully swede, Haz is the perfect poster child for planned parenthood. I guess one could expect a smart ass remark to their thread from Haz, no matter what the topic was and his absloute lack of knowledge on the topic of procreation (at least we are all wishing!).
