Post by CYYR »

MEDIA RELEASE

Tamalik Air, a division of Labrador Airways Limited announces that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the newly formed and Aboriginal owned Innuk Air.

For immediate release- April 17, 2006, Roger W. Pike, President and C.E.O. of Labrador Airways Limited announced today that Tamalik Resorts and Air Charters, a division of Labrador Airways Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Innuk Air to form a joint venture operation.

Tamalik Resorts and Air Charters has operated in Labrador for more than ten years providing float, ski and wheel equipped aircraft to the outfitting, mineral exploration and tourism sectors.
Innuk Air was recently established by Sheshatshiu businessman, Max Penashue and his spouse Denise. Innuk Air is 100% Aboriginally owned, 50% Inuit and 50% Innu. Innuk Air’s primary focus is providing charter services to the outfitting, mineral exploration and tourism industry.

Max Penashue says the intention of the joint venture is to pursue business opportunities including, but not limited to, the operation of float planes, bush planes and ski planes for the provision of air services to the outfitting, mining, oil and gas, and power industries as well as to the government sectors.

The formation of this joint venture will build on air transportation services currently provided to the outfitting industry in Labrador. This air transportation joint venture will also be positioned to provide necessary services that will be in demand should the Lower Churchill development proceed, as expected.

For further information you may contact Max Penashue (Innuk Air) 709 897 5218 or Warwick Pike (Tamalik Resorts and Air Charters) 709 896-1695 or Philip Earle 709 896-6747 (Air Labrador).

What Type(s) of planes do Innuk Air operate? Will both companies operate under the name Tamalik Air?

Good luck, Cheers
