Have you hook up a buddy at your work and hated it after??

Post by ramp_rat »

I have a few buddies that needs a job as an apprentice. Knowing them, I am afraid to hook them up at my work that they may give me a bad name. I got lucky to get in because I tried and knocked on every hanger door to give me a chance. I dont think they ever tried and gave up so easily. Have you hook up a good friend, and let you down or gave you a good impression?

Happened to me as well but I was just looking for somebody to replace me as I was considering to leave. Turned out to be a good thing for both of us. If you are upset because your buddy advanced faster than you then I suppose you should talk to your boss about this. Seniority is something earned, not given. If your body turns out to be a bad worker than separate yourself from him while you are at work. What I would never ever do is trying to be the supportive samaritan. This is your boss's decision. All a guy can do is to give his friend the telephon number of his supervisor's office and therefore has no real bearing on his boss's judgement of your friends skills. Unfortunately this industry is as corrupt as any other. I have seen people getting hired because they are remotely friends with an employee. It would not be a bad thing if some of those guys actually had some useful skills as well. Just my two cents.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.
