Hi folks. I'm new here. I'm a Canadian living abroad in Switzerland. I'm in the airline business, hold a PPL. From YUL originally, but have lived in Resolute, Hall Beach, Calgary, Vancouver and Bahrain.
I found the site this morning. Some interesting posts. Look forward to joining in on the threads.

Thanks for comments everyone. It's nice to connect with Canadians again. Most of our friends here are Canadian, but like us, living here.
I'm not current. I have a fundamental issue with joing a club for $1000 a year, paying $400 a year for insurance, and then renting a 172 for $275 an hour. Yeah...I'm a cheap skate.
You'd love the airfields here. Transport would have a crap if they saw the grass strips that has bizarre appraoches, wires, obstacles. The flying culture for private flying is very good. Most guys take acro training once getting their private. The downside is their version of TC is more anal that back home.
Lots of stuff you don't see in Canada: Jodel's, Robin's, Buckers, Pilatus Porters. A few celbreties at the Geneva airport. Michael Schumaker keeps his Falcon there. He lives outside of a town called ...wait for it...Gland. How's that for a cathy name. He has a big shack on the lake.
Phil Collins lives nearby in a town called Begnin. He charters from Air Glacier fairly often.
Airshows are really cool. As back home, we have two categories of airshows in my view: general public and airshows for propeller heads. The propeller head airshows here have the flying demonstrations atrt at 0830 am and run all day. That's nice. And interesting vintage stuff you only read about.
Anyhow....really pleased I found the forum. Hope to join in on bullshit.
