Multi Instructing

Post by JW »

To do multi engine ratings the instructor needs 50 hours on a multi engine aircraft with 10 on type, right? That being said is a Seneca I the same "type" as a seneca II or III?

In canada the seneca is a seneca. Does not matter if it is a 1 or a 5. In the US of A it does matter.

Dont you work at a school with a mulit program? should you not ask one of your multi instuctors?

Ouch, hopefully they don't read this post and know it's you or else you won't have to worry about the multi, you 'll be worrying about finding another place to work. I also wouldn't make such comments after asking a question you could easily of looked up yourself. :smt018

Canada types are organized by Type designations. The seneca I has a type designation of PA34-200 and other Seneca II,III,IV follow that desiganation; PA34-200T, PA34-220T, etc. All that we really look at is the first part of the desiganation (PA34) to tell us what type the aircraft is. This rule works for all light twins and GA aircraft.
