Pilots killing themselves!
All of these recent postings about accidents has made me think:
I know that we all know the risks involved with our industry, and that we have all accepted those risks. Sadly, I'm sure that we all know at least one pilot who has died in an aviation-related accident!
What scares me is that every pilot I have worked with (or met) throughout my career has been bright, hard-working and safe...very safe!!
So why do we keep killing ourselves and others!!
Keystone Navajo: 2002/IFR/ran out of gas/fatalitiy! WHY?
Alta Flights 414: 2003/VFR in the rocks/hit a 9,000' peak/fatality! WHY?
I'm sure we could all go on and on and on adding to this list!!
I know that with flying things get monotonous and boring...we simply get good and competent at what we do!
TO ALL OF YOU: PLEASE STAY SHARP, TAKE A LITTLE EXTRA TIME, SLOW DOWN, THINK, BE SMART, BE SAFE!!! WHY PUSH LIMITS...DON'T RISK YOUR LIVES FOR A JOB!!

Please, you don't need to shout to make yourself heard
I heard a statistic the other day: most accidents occur either in the bathroom, or within 5 miles of home. So I moved, and don't take showers anymore
People make mistakes. Sometimes we get away with it, and sometimes we don't.
Anyone who claims they don't make mistakes is constipated.

hmmm... poor attitude. i suspect that boobie toucher's comment was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but regardless the decision whether or not to go is always yours. a pushy and unpleasant boss may complicate the situation, but never the decision.bigcanuck wrote:right on nose my friend.
