This is supposedly Canada's greatest Prime Minister?!
Mr. Trudeau was an anti-Semite, admired fascist dictators such as Hitler and Mussolini, promoted revolution and longed for an independent and Catholic Quebec that would be home only to francophones.
Not a liberal but please, add a grain of salt. This is according to the opinions of the authors of this biography which may I add comes into contradiction with other opinions of other biographers. Don't confuse this with fact.

One of the current Liberal leader hopefuls once had this to say about Trudeau.
"Pierre Trudeau makes Judas Iscariot look like a team player." 'Course the gentleman in question was still a member of the NDP at the time.

Myself included but for different reasons than most. Trudeau sat out WW2 in a monastery; then the hypocrite placed wreaths at the cenotaph every Rememberance Day. I actually have more respect for Rene Levesque than I do for Trudeau. Levesque was a war correspondent during the war; he may not have fought, but at least he was there.

Wait your turn buddy.
sd, Levesque actually applied to join the Canadian army in WWII but he was too short. Instead he joined the American Army as a war correspondent. He reported on the death of Mussolini from the spot, and he was one of the first journalists into the Dachau concentration camp when the Yanks liberated it. In the 1960's he applied to join the staff of the Montreal paper, Cité Libre. Trudeau asked if he could write.
Wasn't a big fan of his either, but one thing I have great appreciation for is his effort to bring us the Constitution Act, 1982. What a different world Canada would be to live in without it. Of course the efforts of everyone involved as well.

Bang on Joe!
Comments (Complete nonsense!) like those above would have the poor old geezer flailing in his grave.
Hedley, surely you haven't swallowed all of that crap?
I would have liked to see him on the JERRY SPRINGER show or the MAURY show.
On today's show we have the wife of a famous politician who was taking drugs and having sex with rockstars .Do you think your husband knows ?
Well he does now as he was listening backstage .Lets bring him out.
