the procedure is to get off the airway, so what FL410 said, but no telling who is below you going "present position direct" somewhere else... anyhooo... not my point.
We all seem to think that all of these Toronto Star articles are going to get noticed. When was the last time you read something about another career/lifestyle that was supposed to "make a difference" and actually remembered what you read, and could actually do something about it. Can i do anything about the nurse shortage? nope. BUT i do appreciate this journalists' knowledge and actual ressearch on said aviation topics.
I hate to be nasty and pessimistic, but nobody cares about the "plight" of pilots. No matter how many arcticles are written about the sometimes crappy pay, fatigue, and rule bustin' that occurs, the general public will still think that pilots are rich BUT that they should only pay 329.00 to get to their Christmas Vacation in the islands, and have leg room and free food.
Although, what Safetywatch brough up in their last post on the other forum related to this one http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=19298 gives me a wee bit of hope.
fly safe, kids.... did i actually say anything relevant here.. oh well
