First Air is likely buying a second Herc and is looking for outside hires for its C-130 First Officer position. Larger turboprop time and flying in remote areas, I would assume would be an advantage as would a few thousand hours total time. There seems to be a shortage of qualified candidates. You would be Yellowknife based.
In a moment of constitutional weakness i couldn't stand to see anything so stupid anywhere but the Misc forum. If you have a problem with that start a new thread (in misc) don't hijack this one.

Scary thing is... I could have been flying that one. I just interviewed with H&P after they hired an FO, and it was the capt on that ill-fated flight I interviewed with.
It's enough to make you think a bit.. what *could* have happened.

Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that knows it not, knows no release from the little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear the sound of wings.

The best schedules in the entire company were for the Herc(something like 2 weeks on 2 weeks off). As far as I know, the herc drivers could live wherever they wanted and commute to work, something not allowed for the other types(not sure about the -7 though)
Good on'em that they're finally getting a second one, it's a big time money maker for first air.
