I'm in YYJ doing my license through the Victoria Flying Club. I just got home yesterday from a serious cross country in a 152. I got as far east as Toronto, and put on 73 hours! What a way to time build! I recommend VFC to anyone who is working towards their commercial license!

You guys gunna use Pro-IFR for the multi?
I'm currently starting my PPL across the field at Juan Air. I did a intro flight at both, VFC and Juan Air. Both are great schools, but I knew more people at Juan Air from work.
Juan Air has got a Senaca, 2 Navajos and a Cessna Conquest II for multi work...not to mention the 4 172s and 2 150s....its also cheaper...buy 10hrs, get one free!
Have fun on your trip! Sounds great, if I had another 120hrs and some cash to spend, I'd be there!

They only have 2 planes...a BLACK C172, which ALWAYS gets comments from people, and the Katana (DA20).
That thing is like the sports car of single engine airplanes - very manoeuvrable because the ailerons and elevator use push rods, glides like crazy on idle, and best of all, it's a stick!
It's also got amazing visibility too. The thing is, it's not too comfortable for long trips.

I prefer an auto. my wife can't fly a stick...Crash318 wrote:They only have 2 planes...a BLACK C172, which ALWAYS gets comments from people, and the Katana (DA20).

I am working towards my commercial license with VFC. I didn't know
Juan Air did training- Sounds like quite a fleet. VFC offers block time at a reduced rate but it is not quite buy 10hrs get 1 free. I might head over and check out the Spitfire grill and take a peak at the Juan Air facility.
73 hours - wow - Over how many days ?? Did you take a VFC plane?
