Post by AZN 027 »

Just wondering which companies in Canada have their pilots fly roughly 80-100 hrs per month.

Thanks!

I was going to say 'NacAir' - but then I realized you want 80-100 hrs per month and not 130. Sorry I can't help!

Cheers Anyways..

I do that instructing!

Not really by choice, more as a necessity. (Gotta use my skills to pay the bills.)

I feel sorry for those poor bastards at CMA they don't even make minimum wage. But if taking one in the ass for three or more years is what does it for ya I guess you deserve it. And that really sucks if you were working dispatch and the ramp waiting for a postion and then have to take a pay cut. Ahh the life of a glorified bus driver or I guess in your case a bus drivers bitch.

120 hours a month isn't very much if all you're doing is flying straight and level, especially long legs.

Sheesh, that's an average of only 4 hours a day. Two 2 hour legs and you're back home and done for the day. Shit, you can do that before lunchtime.

No, there's more to life than work. U don't want to look back and regret anything. Like not living.

Transwest flies you pretty good. 80 a month for me

Unfortunitly for instructors you put in at least 2 hours of ground time for every 1 hour of flight, not including weather. I can sometimes put in an 18 hour day for only 5 hours of flying.

North American Charters, North American Charters 2000, North American Charters 2000 LP or NAC, or is it NACair LP (I'll have to check the latest memo and get back to you all), flies their people an average of 97 hours a month in most bases. YWG based crews are flying around 105-115 per month. Until we all start to time out that is. Hawaii for a month paid this winter is starting to look good!
