If they got something that can match the capabilities of the a/c shown, then yes they should be offended. They don't nor does the R/W world.

Sky's The Limit------- Neither the Canadian or American R/W industries have anything to compete with the Mil-26 which I notice the majority of the photos are about. The Kamov can't be matched either by either us nor the Americans for more than one reason and is developing a strong reputation in these parts and others.

Ditto for the F/W side also. Neither the C-17 nor the C-5 Galaxy can match the Antonov in any category. Both the Mil-26 and the Antonov are in Canada now, based out of Edmonton and Ft. Nelson........and both busy.

They got a product to let us know about, that we don't have the equal of and might like to be made aware of, then I take no offense to their post. If it's done on a continual and regular basis, then I do have a problem with it.

Gotcha,

And agreed. Just didn't understand what you were getting at on the first post.

LH, as for the Mi-26 being busy, do you mean sitting on the ramp for a month and flying maybe 5-6 times? If so, then, ya, it's non-stop. 8)

Last I heard, the crew wasn't even in town.

They move when the drills and heavy equipment they were contracted to move also move themselves. Other than that they do the special charter jobs which is one of the reasons they where in Ft. St. John to do just such a thing. They had to do a lot of sitting there because the client was holding them up for various reasons of fouled-up logistics in getting their own stuff in place and arranged for a huge lift and had to remove the roof of a very large building in order to do so.
