Cathay Interview

Post by helpCX »

First of all I'm a long time Avcanada member but created a new user name because I dont want to many people to know about my 1st interview, if I make it to the 2nd interview I will be telling people. I just dont want the extra pressure now.

Anyway I need all the help I can get, I found out about the interview today and only have 30 days to study. So if I could get all the info I can from people who are in the know that would be great. In return I will post all the questions I was asked in the interview when I'm done.

i think i saw a "prepare for your cathay pacific interview" book somewhere in the same place that there was "prepare for your emirates interview" and "prepare for your westjet interview."

Go to a local aviation store or aviationsworld i know will have it :)

Good Luck dude ;)

Don't waste your money on the "preparing for your cathay interview" book. If you can borrow one, fine, but don't spend money on it. Like someone said, Handling the big jets is a must. Consider taking the Pilot career center interview course, it was well worth it for me. I'm just wrapping up my 1st week of training in Hong Kong and I'm loving every minute of it. Good luck!

Cheers!

I agree with Boeing driver, the prepare for your cathay pacific interview book will always be somewhat dated (even the latest copy). Get your latest from the Internet, & read HTBJ over & over.
I found the place I got the most help was at PPRUNE. Not only is there a wannabees forum and a Cathay pilots' forum... you can also research almost any topic relevant to the interview in th tech log forum.
Good luck 8)

thanks guys, I downloaded the gouge word doc's from PPRUNE, looks really good. Are they pretty accurate and does anyone know how much of the gouge applies to the first interview. I mean do I need to know the 747 inside and out or is that more for the 2 interview.

Thanks again.
