Sorry, no body I know rents any planes out of YEG, unless you are chartering a flight.

However, up the road at YXD, try the Edmonton Flying Club or Centennial Aviation.

A little more north west at ZVL, the Namao Flying Club is in operation, as is a helicopter flight school.

To the east, at EZ3, you have the Cooking Lake Aviation Academy and a new guy, the name escapes me.

Places to rent?

Planes to rent? Ill go with what was written.

There are lots of apt for rent, just drive the streets and you will see tons, I think because everyone has so much money they have gone and purchased homes.

I was just thinking of moving to Edmonton last month, and I wouldn't say its impossible to get a place, but you have to be prepared to pay. Edmonton is experiencing quite a boom right now, though not as much as Calgary. The companies are still fighting over workers, everyone seems to be hiring, even McD is paying 10$/hour. Apartments that cost $550 2 months ago are now being rented for $700+.

As long as you are ready to pay.. lots to rent. If you have a low budget like I did, it might be very limited.
