CF Wings Graduation Video

Post by groundpilot »

This is the video I showed at my wings graduation dinner for friends and family. Generally every course creates one to show what they do as well as to serve as a way of remembering the course down the road.

Some of these videos created are really well done and its a shame the public doesn't see some of them because it would probably boost recruitment and general interest.

Anyhow, I posted this video to share with you aviation enthusiasts. It might give a "picture that is worth a thousand words" to some of the questions asked on this forum about the training in the CF.

Please remember the intended audience at the dinner so I appologize in advance about some of the baby pictures but you should at least enjoy the flying parts.

Cheers

GP

I will take the blame for that. Somehow in the editing I screwed it up. I did put the video together relatively fast to meet my deadline of the grad and I guess mistakes happen. I swear I had "Yellowknife, NWT" but apparantly not! Yeah we could definitely fly more but since we don't create revenue we just fly what we are alloted.

Well done! The recruiters should get a hold of it.

My son leaves for Saint Jean on the 27th so hopefully one day he will get a chance to make his own video.

I have to admit, I was waiting for the Top Gun Theme to come on. Thank god it didn't. Thanks for the vid. Real cool job you guys did.

Only thing wrong with it is it got me thinking I should have gone that route instead

Yellowknife 911 dispatcher: Osama Bin Laden is attacking Yellownife!!!!

CF Wings Graduate: Okay, don't worry, we'll send all our F-18's to the Yukon immediately! The Canadian armed Forces don't require a university degree for nothing you know!

Glasses?

Post by Invertago »

Whats with the grad picture of the guy wearing the glasses? How did he make it in as a pilot wearing those?

First off, congrats on the accomplishment....amazing video! you are right, should play that stuff for recruiting, gives a much better view of the Canadian Air Force, I don't think alot of potential pilots realize the training you get in this country.

Good job

Excellent Video! I never cared to fly in the military but that vid definetly can change a mind. Looks like you guys had a good time and learned some pretty excellent flying skills. Kinda makes my training and flying look a little half assed. And the 172 just dosen't roll so crisp like the Hawk.

Cheers,

Mark... EFC alum.
