never had any problems with fuel transfer except the last gallon or two but thats to be expected with the nature of the system. Also we have the baron stol and never noticed any ram air tube, as far as i know its strictly gravity feed.

Sounds like a line problem from the tip to the front tank to me?

When was the last time the tip tanks were used and did you check the drains?

As I mentioned in the maintenance section, check for a venting problem.
