Your Cockpit Buddies....Who/What Do you fly with?

Post by niss »

Anyone fly with a little garfield stuck to their windows or dice hanging from the compass? What good luck charms or trinkets to add character do you have in your birds?

Lilo is my copilot......

I always fly with a picture of my grandma...she passed away in 1998 and didn't make it to see me get my license.

She's been with me on all my travels since.

Not that I'm superstitious but I always carry my grandfathers wings and my dad's first canadian coin- a 1965 silver dollar.

I had a sparrow fly in while I was loading one morning, couldnt get him out so he ate bugs and went for a long ride north. I think he enjoyed it, an all you can eat bug buffet and a free flight, whats not to love?

I had a Gopher in a bundle of core boxes the other day, flew him from "relative civilization" to the middle of nowhere in the mountains out near the NWT border 103NM. He's still hanging around the pile of stuff :D

Uh, there was a squirrel that was screwing around in the nose compartent area on the twin, then it decided to have a baby and leave it there.

Oh, and the baby died, and I found it a week later

So, I threw the dead baby squirrel out, but the smell remains in the nose compartment.

So I guess I fly around with rotten squirrel smell as my buddy
