A big thank you too....
Hello all, I just got my call from AC!!! I am very excited, but before I go off and fly for the RED TEAM I just wanted to drop a few names and thank you's to all of the great people who have shaped me into the pilot/person I am today. I strongly believe that we can learn from everyone whom crosses our paths, and that we knowingly and unknowingly influence others through our words and actions. These people taught me about flying and took the time to take me under their wings, and some didn't even know that I was closely keeping mental notes on how they acted, trying to learn their ways, attitudes, and habits.
1.Kris Sawatzky ( Cathay Pacific) , my first flight instructor . Thanks for being patient .
2.Jason Scott ( Kelowna Flightcraft), Started flying at the same time. Motivated me do always do a bit better.
3. Ian Van Delft ( Flight Safety International) Great debates over coffee on all things flying.
4. Henri Bureaud ( Selkirk College) Great CFI, Multi - IFR instructor.
5. Bob Lamoureux ( Alta Flights) Taught me to respect and care for my A/C. Take care of the plane and it will take care of you.
6.Tom Urie ( Golfing). " Work smarter and not harder" ..." always know what you are doing and WHY you are doing it"
7. Darrell Tucker ( WestJet) Terry Brennen ( ACA YQU) , and Gerald Toews ( ACA YQU) you guys always had time for a newbie FO. You cap't the right way!
8. Andrew Robertson ( Conair) , Dean Cramer ( Canadian North), Aaron Beattie ( Conair) ..and the rest of the Airco guys. Great times flying together. Critical when needed, and supportive the rest of the time.
9. Stacie McIntyre ( Sunwest) , Jerry Rennneberg ( Sunwest), Trevor Thompson ( Sunwest) , Mike Chant ( Sunwest) ..And the rest of the great people at Sunwest..Thanks for the 2.5 great years.
10. Kyle Thorsell. It has been great trying to pass to you all that I have learned from those mentioned above. Thanks for listening.
11. Steve Anderson. My co-worker and best friend for 7.5 years. I admire your integrity and the way you look after those around you. You are a man of honour, and one to always put others before yourself.
Thanks from the big dummy that you always had to put up with.
Randy.

Congrats, Randy.. been a long time since I saw your name!
Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that knows it not, knows no release from the little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear the sound of wings.

Lets hope K.T & C.O take pay attention
Good for you Randy! I only hope you passed on some of this good professionalism to your fellow pilots in YXD. C.O and K.T you both are standing in the shadow of a GIANT, take note and work on being a little more like Randy…
