Oh I just answered as best I could in the Employment section. P180 you cannot compare AES to Sonic whatever. Not even close. Airborne is a good company as far as I've heard.

I did not say they were a bad company you are right they are second to none but the pay to live in Calgary is to low.If you haven't looked a house there starts at 300kco-joe wrote:Oh I just answered as best I could in the Employment section. um...last I looked they were based out of Whitecourt which is about 5 or 6 hours north of Calgary. Are we talking about the same company? Unless your assuming the job HighTime was talking about is for the KA-350 based in YYC...actually HT has never mentioned what job he was applying for now that I think about it.P180 wrote: the pay to live in Calgary is to low.If you haven't looked a house there starts at 300k

You got it.They offered me a job on the 350 and turned it down because of the wages. Its a good company but I didn't want to work and be on welfare.

It is funny reading a thread about a company I have worked at for a number of years. The funny thing is how uninformed most people are. Airborne is a great place to work. Anyone one comparing it to Sonic Blue is a total moron. Pay in the whole fixed wing industry sucks but Airborne is definately above average. Whitecourt is a great place to live, although the main reason i feel that way is the people you are there with. Great group of people. There should be no rumours about a drilling company buying Airborne as it has been a fact since January. Maintenace is top notch and has never been an issue. Anyone having a question about Airborne feel free to pm me I would be happy to help separate the truth from what some uninformed morons are saying.

I can say that 65K is more then you will evermake flying the P180. Corpac's highest paid guy (2year-longest employed pilot) in YYC is under 65K on the Piaggio. Unless you got one hell of a deal with them. that should get the pilots going. Most guys started at 50K on the P180 from what i was told.
