what happens if you MIFR say expires on the 1.Nov this year, and you haven't done a ride before this date??
Do you automatically have to rewrite INRAT or is it only if you lapsed over 5 yrs??
Its my first renewal, so I really don't know how it works....and if I go beyond NOV.1, do I just go for another ride when I'm ready and get my currency from that day onwards??

If you do a ride on or before Nov 1, 2008, you don't need to redo the INRAT or have an instructor's recommend.
If you do the ride after Nov 1, 2008, you need to write the INRAT and have an instructor's recommend.
If you don't do a renewal ride before Nov 1, 2006, then you obviously can't fly IFR after this date.

Ok, I did mine on Sep.15, 2004....so on my licence its says its valid until Oct. 1, 2006.
If I don't do a ride before then, I can't fly IFR...ok, I know that, but do I still need to write an INRAT after that day, or I just complete renewal training and go for a TC ride?
