Heard they completed a ground run on the engines because they were having some trouble. Decided everything was okay and headed out. Made it to FL240 and lost all of the oil and had plenty of smoke billowing out.
Returned for an uneventful landing at CYQU (with a neat looking approach). Everyone okay. Good job to the crew!
This was two days ago. Anyone have any other details?
Switchfoot.

Plane was sitting at the QU terminal for a couple days, saw an AME working on it. Gone now, dunno if it's in a hangar or left QU. Didn't look like to much of mess from what I saw.

Oh no! Not one engine!
Reminds me about the time a B-52 lost an engine, and declared an emergency ... for the dreaded SEVEN engine approach

No, it's still there. Sitting in a hangar having the left engine replaced.

$22,500........
I hope their Dornier pilots have a different pay scale because that pay sucks!!! Well I guess they have lots of money to replace those engines because with that crap pilot pay the owners wallets must be stuffed with $bucks$

nope, same pay scale for the dornier too. They sweeten the pot with a bond on the dornier though.

I overheard a C-5 near S'toon heading for Alaska tell Winnipeg they had to shut an engine down and were requesting a clearance back to home base...in South Carolina.

So why have a 12 year pay scale if it tops out after 8?

because CMAs owners think newbie pilots aren't smart enough to realize this and will enter with a smile and hope

Oh my lord...is that all a CMA Capt makes after 12 years? Gee, that's an incentive to stay with the airline. Not. A Cathay Capt makes $214k a year at the 12year mark. But I guess they offer other perks....as mentioned in this post.
