Was watching CNN at work today, and a 2 minute story on the rape and murder of women in Africa was on. Along the "ticker" on the bottom, it said Paris Hiltons DUI hearing is being postponed until Novemeber. Is this really news?? I mean with all the crap going on in the world, does CNN (the self aclamed news leader of the world) have to report on a pathetic excuse for a human being(paris hilton)?

anyways thats my 2 cents

I suggest a reverse refugee situation. You get the CIA to record the address of everyone who suscribes to US weekly mag. You take that list of people and swap them with people trying to come to america as refugees from the genocide in sudan, the refugee camps throughout africa, the slums of delhi. In a year reprocess the expats and i promise they won't care about paris anymore.

--> Today there was a friggin tragedy where som guy held a few people hostage within a school. Shot a girl, killed her then killed himself. CNN was there live but cut it off immediately not given any details because they had to bring you another f*cking breaking news: Dallas Cowboys Star Receiver Terrel Owens Has Been Hospitalized!

I'm with desksgo.

If you don't like it.. Don't watch! Not like you're eyes are being held open and you're chained to the TV set.

The media does nothing but piss me off.. I stopped watching the news programs and no longer pay close attention to what are reported as facts on the radio and in newsprint. I mean.. if they can screw up so easily on simple stories as we've seen in aviation.. Imagine the falacy in all other facets of fact reporting! Say that three times fast.

To defend myself, I actually dont have cable, just watch episodes of the Office on myspace.com ... but CNN is on 24/7 at my work, and I happen to glance over once in a while. I get CBC for free, so I can watch the leafs games for free sat. night.

Anyways im sure to get a few leaf bashes now.

I like that show too, my favorite character is the girl receptionist who is funny because they always show her answering the phone, ha ha.
