Just got my new Candian IR woorkbook 5th edition.. and i think there is an error can someone verify??

Under Canadian Air Regs and Airspace

12. The basic width of an LF/MF airway is?

a) 10 nm out to a distance of 80 nm there after with a 5 degrees splay
b) 8.68 nm out to a distance of 49.66 nm there after with a 5 deg splay
c) 8 nm out to a distance of 40 nm there after with a 6.5 deg spaly
d) 4.43 nm out to a disatace of 49.66 nm after with a 5 degrees splay..

they say the answer is B

But if i look in my books its say 4.34 NM wiht a distance of 49.66 nm

someone please verify

it's right,
4.34 is on each side of center making it a total of 8.68nm wide.

you got that right. That's an easy compared to alot of the shit they throw at us.

I'm writting the Saron ATPL exam tomorrow morning and basically going over the aerocourse workbook alot to get a feel for the way they word the questions.

They way I have always done it was to break down the question in a very basic way. What are they asking? Because they really try and mess you up with the wording

Get rid of the obviously wrong answers then reread the question. Make sure you read it all. Don't skip ands/ors. Most people will skip a lot of words when reading, the brain sub(un)conciously fills it the blanks, not always correctly. And don't worry about time, there will be enough if you're prepared! Good luck to both of you! Did you find my error?

thanks, after readed 3 times I found the "fills it the blanks". Know that I got that right the test should be easy.
