I have a friend interested in getting in aviation as a hobby. She lives in the Bolton Ont (highway 50 north of Toronto)

What would be a good school in the area?

Buttonville airport would probably be the closest for her...Toronto Airways, there is also a school in Brampton and a couple in Oshawa as well. If she's interested in helicopter at all there is a helicopter school located in Bolton...National Helicopters.

Edenvale Flying Club approximately 50 minutes from Bolton. I live in Schomberg and travel about 50 mins to the Club every day.

I live on the corner of 12th and 19th just South of hwy 9. Not far from George Volk`s field. George`s daughter has apparently obtained her advanced ultralight instructor rating and they have opened a new flight school for ultralights and they had their grand opening on Friday. I will be popping in there to check it out. Volks Field is also up for sale for $9 mil  I think ole George is smoking mushrooms but I guess he figures the property is worth it being right there on Hwy 9.

Pop in for a pint when you around the area Pete.
