Are they no longer requiring an internal reference?

Hey Slap,

So what's the scoop??? People not to happy around there? I heard they expanded into Eastern Canada, has that not been very sucessful for the company or employees? Always been interested in Canada'a only fractional so whatever you can offer will be of interest.

2000 hours seems like a high requirement for a F/O position in a PC12.

Is that common, or is it because of the type of flying they do?

It's probably close to the captain req'ts which usually means fast upgrades.

I know of two guys who got on as F/O's with less than 300 hours.

The thing is though is that they both worked either ramp, dispatch, or customer service for about a year before they were considered for a flying position. Which seems to be the norm wherever you go.

Not sure why they have the 2000 min on their site, probably to discourage low-timers to apply!!! There are no shortages of low-time pilots out there...

I heard guys are pretty upset. The lost some guys last month. They will hire below the 2000 hr and with little reference from what i hear. timing and need. But, I am guesssing that they will need about that because they need guys to fill the spot of captains, when guys leave.

I think the internal reference is far more important that the 2000 hours since I've had a resume on file there for almost a year with over 2K but know no one.

From what I hear the company is West and East,

West=Upset guys in general

East=Happy guys in general

Weird but true.

I know some guys there, that is the general idea of things, anyone else know whats up?

I know a bunch of the guys in the East (CYKF) and they are the happiest pilots I know, right now. I have not heard a negative comment about their company. Really, who can complain about their competitive wages, lots of hours logged, very quick upgrades (8 months or less to a left seat, from what I've seen), and being part of a team that's on a positive track?

I call BS. Who quit after years of service??? From what I know the Ottawa base has only been around for about a year as a true AirSprint base, and there has been no one "quit" from there yet. There has been one guy leave for a forward move in his career that was in Ottawa for a summer but was based back in YKF shortly there after.
So enough stirring the pot...PM me let me know who has left the Otawa base (by their own will of course).

The guy(s) that quit were from the west and all had been there a long time. The rumour is that the flying is good, the planes are good and the people are good. The other side is the small things like sharing hotel rooms and small per diems . It's to bad, from what I can see it could be a great company.

If you kill the pilots, fast....

If you wait, until they get a new gig...
