Jobs for Pilot and Nurse?
So I find my-self looking for work again. A few yrs ago I sold my company to presue a passion of mine to fly and earn a living doing it. lol I could tell the story but why everyone here knows it. soo after a couple yrs i started working on another company with a few friends and now that that project is done I am back trying to find work.
I completed my flight training, then got my first flying job in a Aztec for a summer and recieved my Navajo PPC as he was wanting to be moving into one, but no such luck
So here I sit with 500hrs mostly multi and a pa-31 PPC expires 01-07
What I am looking for here is maybe some directions to go in, I would be welling to work anywhere for the next 6 months but mostly would like to find something where my wife and I can work together starting April 07, she needs to finish out her trainning contract.
She is a ICU nurse at a very large Canadian hospital and very highly trained, we have no limits as to where we wont work as long as the money and flying hrs are good.
If you can help that would be great.

Pilot and Nurse
If you wife is interested in doing flight nurse stuff, try an air ambulance company, nurses are hard to come by.

You could try contacting Les Cleverly through Kenn Borek Air and see if he has positions open in YFB. If they like your wife's qualifications enought he may be able to swing you into Sean's office. Unfortunately AB and BC use paramedics almost exclusively so they're probably out, and SK flies single pilot so they're gone too, but the Yukon, NWT, NU, MB, all use nurses.
Thanks again for all the help i have gotten here and by PM after a little more chat with my wife, it has become a bit more clear that although she would move with me north to stay together something else might be better and not meaning warmer but just a different country even if it were 'remote cold ass shit town North Sweden' as she would put it
Any ideas if we could find work or if anyones knows a few countries we could look into
Keep in mind we are here in Canada till April to finish out a contract then free to move anywhere in the world, if the situation occurred I could start right away
You guys have been great so far theanks again for all the help

Pilot and Nurse Job,
Hi,
I used to work for Keewatin Air. They have pilots and nurses. Bob and Judy May are great to work for. Now they are combined wth the power of and investment company, and I believe it is only getting better there.
I flew contract with perimeter last year, greatly improving, notice the Dash 8.
Give them a call. I believe they do rotations.
Good luck and safe flying and happy patients!
Mike

clarence, put on yer dungarees, workboots, and hardhat, pack a lunch, and borrow the wife's car. hit every construction site around make a deal that you'll work till noon for lunch and then 15$/hr after that. if you do a good job, you'll be working till the cow's come home. also hit the union hall ask if they are taking on members. it used to be @300 to sign up then they call you for the next available job, for union scale. good luck

Too bad you and her aren't willing to go up north, you're missing out on the best experience both of you could get (professionally speaking).
Recently I saw an add for Perimeter looking. If you don't mind Thompson MB or perhaps Winnipeg you may be able to find work as a pair. BC uses medics but you could try Helijet I guess.

Not sure if I implied that we wouldnt go north, if it reads that way somewhere then please tell me I will change it.
We have been thinking about the north, have heard that she could do her nurse-practitioner course while living up north and get it covered by grants.
Thanks for you time
