Jazz Sarnia Run...new planes?
Someone told me (who heard it on the radio...they dont follow aviation in any way) that Georgian or Jazz is going to start using a different aircraft for there run to Sarnia? I asked him what kind but all he could come back with was Beech...and I know they use 1900's for it now. Cant find any other news on it...wondering if anyone knew?
Itd be nice to have a bigger plane in....the 1900 is always packed.

Heard a rumour that AC was replacing Georgian in Sarnia with Jazz Dash 8's to accomodate a start-up at City Centre. It appears Air Canada (Georgian) is going to be flying YTZ to YOW in November. I wonder how this affects Porter...hopefully room for everyone there.
What a crazy industry....i think i'll stick to corporate where everyone gets along.

my father works there, ramp...I didnt even think to check the employee travel thing. looked at a flight for tommorow, still a 1900. clicked for a flight in nov and it was a dh1. I cant wait for that...the 1900's were always packed...itll be nice to have a better chance getting on a flight standby with 2 times as many seats.

This will be brilliant to watch... AC passengers getting off the new ferry, bypassing the Porter terminal and lounge, checking in at a plywood counter at the old building or maybe a portable if they're lucky, getting on a clapped out King Air (i mean 1900), enjoying the lack of in flight service and wallowing in noise and discomfort and arriving after a longer flight at the armpit of the YOW terminal.
Oh yes, and there is the notable lack of more than a handful of takoff and landing slots at YTZ, oh ya, and the 1900 is more runway limited that the Q400.
I can't wait for them to start up. It'll be great free advertsing for Porter.
