This just shows that TWA management has no clue. The Northern C.P. is sending emails to his "buddies" saying that Twa lost some little contract to a company called Cameco. It's only about 25% of our business he says and we should have no trouble picking it up elsewhere. NOT A F**KING CLUE. Hey N.W. ,Borek doesn't want you back or Conair, you better be careful TWA is going to send you packing soon. Without Cameco they don't need a Northern C.P.
Well put. There will always be other operators, and who knows. Maybe the next company to get that flying will appreciate it and work hard to keep it. Those mine contracts will put our grandchildren through university. The location of the mines might change, but the uranium is there, and there will always be a demand for it. When I worked up there that was the best flying to do. A couple legs to get there, a nice lunch, and a couple legs to go home. That was two or three days a week, all year round. Good luck to those that end up unemployed because of some bad management. The employees didn't cause this, but they are the ones that will pay the price through the lack of flights and layoffs. TWA employs a great group of people, and it is a shame the management does not look after thier employees. Bottom line, even through all of this the work is still there, WWA cannot fill the gap so other operators are filling in. The work is still there, the jobs are available, they are just with different operators.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

Could this be one of the companies thats is picking up the slack from TWA losing these mining contracts?

another missed opprotunity by TWA
Rumor has it that one of TWA's most experianced Captians is going to be flying the TO for the Compition out of La Ronge. Does anyone know anything else about this?

The rumor can be confirmed. WWA has sub contracted NCA's TO to do runs out of LaRonge. They have hired one of TWA x Captains. Not a TO driver though. He flew everything but a TO for TWA. Infact Jr. wouldn't let him fly it for some strange reason. Just one more thing to come back and bite Jr. in the ass. Rumor has it that another X TWA TO captain will be flying relief on the machine as well.
The whole TWA deal sucks, however c'est la vie.
Anyways, I'm curious to know the fate of a certain fellow. Last time I spoke with him was in 04. He was flying the Twotter out of La Ronge, before that he was on the 'ho in ZFD. He flew out of Thompson before going to TWA in '02ish.
Oh yeah he's a newfie, but without the accent.
Cheers
Chris Reeves.

Things are going downhill really fast. TWA is closing there U-City base again on Nov. 01. # pilots jumped ship to Borek and others are trying. Just no flying left for them. To top it all off Jr. has to watch NCA Twin Otter do his old runs everyday while he has 4 TO's parked in his lot and 1 being rebuilt. That's gotta be painful. Hard on the old pocket book too.

The loss of Cameco is really hurting TWA. They have had their lawyer send out letters to the mass exit of empoyees that owed money on their training Bonds. They sent a letter to one guy demanding the payment of $350 it probably cost jr. $500 to get the lawyer to write the letter.

I would love to know where this information is coming from. The leased Saab is owned by 3 northern bands so i have doubts its going anywhere. Infact there is talk of TWA buying another Saab. Furthermore sched loads are very strong. I think before you post stuff you better get your facts straight.
