You hit that nail right on the head, good on ya :smt041
you guys are missing the point !!

All these guys and gals are reeling over losing there jobs and need to vent, then a loser like TOO_LOW comes in and all he has to offer is "@#$! CanJet"....well @#$! HIM !! you guys poking your noses in with your smug remarks like "you drooled over his avatar..." bla bla bla so your as bad as he is...I think not !! These people are under some serious stress and are trying to get through this together and maybe hear some hope they maybe getting their jobs back before Christmas so they can afford to give their kids what they asked for.... TOO_LOW, Sprucemonkey, Stoptheworld what have you accomplished with your remarks? You have made a bunch of people that are already down on their luck feel even worse...
Maybe when you get layed off (and in this industry it's very likely you will) you will see the flip side of the coin and wonder why in the hell are people talking about some guys avatar when you can't pay your bills at the end of the month...well that probably won't happen because you all still live at home with mommy and daddy.....GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps Tow Low's comment was directed at the company, not at the people who work(ed) there. I find its best not to define oneself by the company that you work at. Sooner or later, either you leave the company or the company leaves you. There are more important things on which to base who you are. But what do I know. I haven't really worked anywhere that I would want to define myself by. :?

Thank you Pratt x3, that's what I was saying.

I want to offer my sincerest deepest apologies for any tension, hurt or conflict I may have caused. My intent was never to hurt anyone. Unfortunately for all of us the situation has gotten way out of hand, and my heart and mind are telling me to resolve it. More than anything, our Lord is telling me and tells everyone in the Holy Bible that an angry heart is useless. Holding a grudge and carrying around this pain, anger and frustration is getting me no where, and is hurting our family. It is hard to forget the past, but I am more than willing to try. Please accept me for today and tomorrow, and even though it is difficult, put the past behind us. Life is too short for us not to forgive. You or I could die tomorrow and regret our behavior. Then we would ask ourselves; is it worth it? Was it really worth it to carry around that pain and anger? My answer is NO. Please let's move forward for the happiness of all around us, but more importantly for ourselves. May God Bless you and your family always. Even if you are not ready to forgive and/or forget, I will pray everyday for your safety and well being, and hopefully someday you will be able to tell me you accept my apology.

Thats half the problem - nobody knows for how long this "operation" is going to last. Or for that matter - if it is even going to get off the ground. It's been nothing but a pile of Bullshit rumors ever since Sept. 10th. Will someone in Management have the courtesy of letting the few pilots that are willing to remain know whats going on for sure. This is getting real old!

Stoptheworld what have you accomplished with your remarks? You have made a bunch of people that are already down on their luck feel even worse...
Apparently, I have accomplished nothing. My comments were not related to the subject of the post but to the hypocrisy of some of the commenters that Spruce pointed out. If any of my words were offensive to the folks at Canjet, that was certainly not my intent.

People forget that corporations are not lifeless entities but are made up of human beings that work for them. A statement like "F*ck Canjet" may be highly offensive to those aforementioned people who are now wondering what to do with their, lives, how they will pay the bills etc. I think we would all do well to remember that even if the senior people at a company are a bunch of incompetents but there are others that worked there and may have enjoyed it and were hoping that it would last.

By the way, I have been around the aviation business for my entire life, except for now, because I was laid off almost a year ago. Believe me, my family went through sheer misery because of it and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. (By the way, this is the second time but the first with two kids to feed)

I am no longer in the business, but God help me, I miss it still (Whoops, I must have missed taking my medication) It is the stupidest business on the planet, but it is the most exciting

it seems by the looks of it that around 40ish pilots will be recalled ontil
spring or early summer, not sure how the numbers will come up from then.
(maybe people getting ther jobs)sooo if your past that number on the seniority list, count who has left(with a number above this) for other opportunities and take an educated, calculated risk and decide if your staying or making like a shepard.Good hunting.

Nope, haven't been talking to anyone who's been called back either, but then again I've been too busy trying to get something else.

Heard that guys in the top 30 will be called back by the 2nd week of November, more to follow in December. The peak of the flying seems to be scheduled in Feb. when the charters out of Halifax get going. They don't seem to be in a panic to hire guys back and it's going to hurt them with all the hiring that seems to be going on. Close to 30 gone so far, more to come.

Heard from a reliable source at HIAA that CanJet submitted a schedule for Florida flights out of Halifax starting in January. Not sure if this charter flying or an in house product.
More flying, still no call backs.

Just so other people's heard doesn't skip a few beats like mine just did, the waiver was from the Minister of Labour and we knew the company had applied for this in September. It's Not Transport Canada shutting Canjet down

I hear that some people have trouble interpreting the difference between true and false. Even if this did happen, the two events would be completely unrelated. On an interesting note, one of the old 200's is flying in Iraq. <-- true statement, seriously.
