Sunwest Info

Post by Riverman »

I have an opportunity to interview with Sunwest Aviation and I am looking for info about the interview process and about the company and working conditions, pay. etc.

Looks like a great company to get it with and broaden my experience. I suppose it will need to pay fairly well to afford living in Calgary but I'm willing to relocate there.

Thanks

Sorry no info on the interview but I would start looking for a place to rent now, and if you don't get the job no problem they will re-rent out quickley, just don't put money down until SW makes a decision.

P.S. the N.E is the cheapest to Rent/Buy in.

Good luck on the interview. As for housing....DO NOT rent/buy a place in the NE if its EAST of the Deerfoot. All the areas there are rough. Like YWG's north end.

Well if you would care to look at the right side of your screen while on the employment forum topic page, there is a slider bar, scroll down on that bar and you shall see sunwest info, if that doesn't help click page 2.
When all else fails, SEARCH,
may seem grouchy, just woke up and haven't had my morning rye and coke. :D

Sorry 'bout that. I will strive to never start a thread about anything that has ever been previously discussed because obviously you're keeping track.

sprucemonkey: Thanks for the heads up about the NE.

Sorry we can't help you much. I had an interview there a while ago for a position flying. It was catered with sandwiches (accidentally since somebody ordered lunch for 25 people for the wrong day), and was conducted by the CP and some other jet captain. The questions were all geared towards conflict resolution in the workplace, and they asked if I had resumes in with westjet and air canada.

When I said yes to that question they seemed to go from completely interested in me to completely uninterested. I guess they wanted me to lie.

Hey man, I had a interview for a maintenance position too. They offered me the job but low balled on wage. I was not impressed. I am going to ask if they can do better and if not, their loss. There is lots of work in calgary, I have other options.

I guess I need another column in my logbook. Fart time... do you break that into day farting and night farting?

Rough?? no thats east of deerfoot and around 17th Ave S.E.

N.E is like every quadrant of the city has it's bad areas. If it looks like a trashy area it usually is. I suggested N.E because you can still buy houses for less then $400,000 and it is close to the Airport.

As for the interview NFI but everybody is desprite so don't sweat it, if you don't come off as a $% they will probably hire you, if not North Cariboo and Dynamic are always looking.
