Howdy ho fellow pilots! So you have had your AC interview, now spill the beans, what was the stupidest question you faced. And best of all - how would you answer the same quesition, if you weren't such a yellow bellly, and had some guts to answer truthfully?

Why? So they can type cast you as a florist-whose-dreams-went bad? Couldn't cut it in the florist biz so you're trying to make it as a pilot instead? Why would one answer if they wanted to be a florist?

I think the personalities that would suit a florist, singer, soldier and forest ranger are quite different. I think they can easily tell if you are lying on the psych eval.

I did the whole screening process in Feburary in CYYZ, I got hired by another major Airline before I could receive the dreaded "Good luck with your aviation career" letter. Now I am making so much money that I am seriously considering opening that Japanese floral arrangement shop!AHA AC! Cheers

Guess interviews have changed. 7 years ago in a CRJ PIC panic they interviewed anyone they could dig up with 10G PIC to fly RJs that everyone in house bailed from. The guy says, we only have 3 questions. They were why do you want to work with AC and one about SOP and another about CRM. They then went on to blow sunshine up the Canadair butt. Then did a sim check on the DC-9 sim with some great retired guys.

Despirite times and measures thing. They must have been really hurting for Skippys then. All 3 that morning were ex-9A and all 3 turned AC down when offered although the one who went CanJet might be regretting it now.
