I hear that some people have trouble interpreting the difference between true and false. Even if this did happen, the two events would be completely unrelated
I'm not in a habbit of submitting false posts. I think it's an interesting point even if is totally unrelated to CJ considering it could have affected CJ's operation.

I think it'll be another friggin' week of "wait 'n see".

Getting a wee bit tired of all the rosy press releases put out by KR with apparently no one being called back. I don't know who is going to fly all those charters he keeps talking about.

Yep, the only way they will have enough pilots is to hire all that are sticking around, all 80 of them. because they are going to lose at least 1 per week until he shuts it down again.

For those fortunate ones who have been called back, let us in on the
new appalling conditions to work there. Call backs in other areas have
been brutal. They keep the base pay the same, but all extras and many
benefits not offered. If you refuse your serverence is cut off. Mr. Rowe
and the ship of fools are reaching an all new low. I hope more people
read this other than just pilots. As consumers you get what you pay for.
Buyer beware.

I will answer my own post. I have heard that the pilots are also being
offered an inferior package to what they already had. When I get that package I plan on sending it Air Transats pilot's (ALPA), Air Transats
executive personnel, and last but most effective, the entire media group.
Watch me, it will be done unless things change. People need to know.

Anyone care to share the details of the so-called inferior package to a fellow (former) CJ pilot. :?:

You expected the offer to be good coming from Ken and the gang?
You know when they are restructuring the company and FIRE most of the staff things are not going to be remotely good.
Hope all you guys and gals find other employment soon.
Tell Kenny to go screw himself.

0 doubt that it was union busting.
The sad thing is there is no one to stop Kenny.
He does what he wants.

I disagree, lack of pilots will be a HUGE issue with CJ in the coming months. Eventually they will slowly run out. Who the hell from off the street with 4-5000 hrs would come here to Kenny's Casino for the chance that they will last 6-8 months when real employers are calling.

Will it be 2 months or 6 months :smt078

I really wouldnt say the loyal are lining up....there are still people out there with out jobs. The severence is running out and UI doesnt really pay the bills. These people will take the jobs. They will take them but they will have no heart, and no loyalty. There will be no sense of teamwork. The first irops will prove that. Just wait till the first flight goes over 14hours. CJ will then understand what level of commitment they have purchaced by abusing good, professional, and hard working pilots. There is just nothing left to give.
You can only kick a dog so many times before he either runs away or bites back.
By my count as of today there are 35 pilots that have taken jobs at other companies or out of the country. I have no idea how many have had interviews but the list is long.
I personally think that they will run this as far as they can till the leases are finished. Use this time wisely people. Renew your IFR, and PPC's. Pay the bills and put some away. Send out those resumes. Keep reminding yourself you have the worst pay and working conditions on the planet. Then leave and don't look back.

Rickenbacker, I totally agree with you. There's a very small loyalty group for CanJet, the turnaround will be greater than ever by next spring when hiring tends to peak.
'butcher, you're probably right about 4 months til the next shutdown or downsizing since there's nothing on the horizon for summer time work.
For now, a paycheck is better than the pogue, and I don't care about the other details. BTW, for those of you who do know the details of terms, it's best not to start publishing anything on this forum, ALPA is working on it. Besides, like alot of you, I dont' plan on stickin' around.
You got to admit, it's going to be fun watching Kenny parking airplanes due to lack of crews. :P

Yes, and think of what that will do to his customer base. I am planning another trip down in the sunny WX mid March and I ain't going with CJ cause don't know their health/status or if they will be around :?

well first of all, let's remember there was no sudden shutdown, per sey. It was planned and nobody got stranded. So there's no worries there, since uncle Kenny has become an expert on closing airlines down.
Second, you book with a tour operator, not the airline. If you notice on the package that CanJet is taking you down and decide to switch, you're probably going to end up switching the package to another tour operator. If the planes start parking, the parent company will come to the rescue, like they've done before.

Just passing on something I heard.
I can't believe it actually since CanJet agreed with Alpa but I heard Kenny's boys are calling back OUT of senority.
Amazing what a @&#$ opperation they have there. Simply amazing.
If it is infact true.

Hiring out of seniority is true. Canjet had the worst pay and working
conditions in Canada. Now it wants the pilots to accept new conditions
the are worse than the old conditions in order to work at Canjet. Was
it necessary for the charter work, I think not. Pilots please leave as
soon as you can, and the travelling public should avoid flying Canjet
at all costs. It would be best for all if Canjet was to fail sooner rather
than later, as this is probably IMP/KR last attempt at the Airline business.
