Dont you need DG training to carry jerry cans of fuel on an a/c?
Anyone got a CARs quote for this? I never thought it was a big deal, but nothing Transport does surprises me any more.

Reminds me of this summer ... got a phone call from an obsequious Enforcement Inspector from down east, who was "following up on a rumour" that I was going to be doing some jumper dumping, and that "charges would be laid" if I did so without an "Air Carrier Operating Certificate".

At first I thought it was one of my friends playing a joke on me, but no, it really was an Enforcement Inspector calling up from the east coast to threaten me about something I hadn't even thought about doing yet.

Somewhat incredulously, I asked for confirmation that an "Air Carrier Operating Certificate" was really required to dump jumpers out of a bugsmasher, and I was smarmily informed that it was indeed true.

My reply was that I got the message - Transport's objective is to have as little aviation in Canada as it can arrange, and that we would do our very best to fly elsewhere, such as Central America or the Caribbean, instead of the People's Republic of Canada.
