Looks like the main gear came off on landing, aircraft skidded down the runway for a 1000 feet. UGLY!!!!!

No injuries thats the only good news.

Aircraft has been removed from runway via crane. Nothing too major. Runway 08/26 is back open.

Rumour has it....

The airplane was being changed from floats to wheels and the crew was flying it off a dock near the airport, the dock is 200' in length. The main gear hooked the railing on the dock and on landing at the airport which is 3 miles from the dock the RH landing gear broke from the aircraft.

I was speaking to someone down there last night who said the aircraft is in rough shape.

disregard it works now. Lucky buggers could have been alot worse. there must be a better way to get your a/c off floats and back to the airport without putin yourself in a situation where you have 1 chance and a tight chance at that. Seems like a big risk with someone elses A/C.
